What SimpleShack is
SimpleShack is a point-of-sale tool for concession stands, lemonade stands, and small events. It runs in a web browser and as a native iOS and Android app.
Information we collect
- Account info — email, organization name, and role for owners and invited staff. Quick-tier stands use a 4-digit PIN and no email.
- Menu and sales data — items, prices, stock levels, orders, tips, and cash reconciliation you enter into the app.
- Photos — when you tap "Take photo" to add an item image, the photo is uploaded to our storage and used only to display that item in the app.
- Device tokens — if you enable push notifications, an anonymous device token is stored so we can deliver order alerts to that device.
Camera and photo library
The app requests camera and photo library access only when you tap the photo button on an item. Photos are uploaded to your organization's SimpleShack storage and are not shared with third parties.
Push notifications
If you enable notifications, SimpleShack sends alerts about new paid orders and end-of-day reminders. You can disable them anytime in your device settings.
Payments
When you accept card payments through SimpleShack, card data is processed directly by Stripe under Stripe's privacy policy. SimpleShack never stores card numbers or CVCs.
How data is stored
Data is stored in Lovable Cloud (Supabase) with row-level security scoped to your organization. Only members of your organization can read your data.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers required to run the app: Stripe for card payments, Apple and Google for push delivery, and Lovable/Supabase for hosting and storage.
Your choices
- Delete your account and organization data by following the steps on our account deletion page.
- Revoke camera or notification permission in your device settings at any time.
- Sign out to remove the session from a device.
Children
SimpleShack is intended for use by adults running stands. Minors may operate a stand under adult supervision; we do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13.
